Sap Moderator Australia 16826 Posts	Posted 06/04/2008 11:51 pm It's from the Sultanate of Zanzibar, a small island nation off the coast of eastern Africa, now forming fart of Tanzania. The coin is a copper 1 pysa of the year Zohar reported. KM# 1, probably worth around $10 in that condition. The Arabic legend reads, "Sultan Sa'id bin Barghash bin Sultan" in the central three lines, and "Allah hafizahu" (May Allah guard him) at top and bottom. Here's the Wikipedia article on this Sultan.
