Its Muslim Year 1299 (year 1882) and on the back it states something related to a Sultan. It may be Ottoman empire coin/token.

It's from the Sultanate of Zanzibar, a small island nation off the coast of eastern Africa, now forming fart of Tanzania. The coin is a copper 1 pysa of the year Zohar reported. KM# 1, probably worth around $10 in that condition.

The Arabic legend reads, "Sultan Sa'id bin Barghash bin Sultan" in the central three lines, and "Allah hafizahu" (May Allah guard him) at top and bottom. Here's the Wikipedia article on this Sultan.

Sap, this is impressive. I wouldnt even know where to look for this except the Arab characters which I can somewhat work with. This is what makes the forum so educating. Thank you.
