Of course that doesn't stop it being a nice coin! Especially if you like it for some reason, Churchill was a cool war era leader in my opinion. Report this Post to the Staff
timothyphx1 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 06/05/2008 12:41 am Thank you all for your comments- It is a cool coin- it belonged to my grandfather that died just (6 months) before I was born- and it (and several other items) were spared from a fire in 1999 These coins are the only connection I have left to my grandfather- I am in the process of insuring them. I do see these were a high mint- but can't seem to find any data on this type of coin. It is my understanding this was the FIRST coin he received in a service from "99 coin company" that provided "First Day- First issue" coins. I only have the '66 book. This set included the First non-silver quarter and several other "cool" coins. Issued Oct 11 1965 - same as the postmark on the sealed envelope- Report this Post to the Staff
