Net profit - $168

That is your sales profit... your net profit is after you remove the ebay listing fee, the ebay final sales fee and the PayPal fee...

@SPP-Ottawa......

If you want to split hairs.....my actual GROSS profit was $167.99.

You forgot to take time out of your life to address my obviously inferior mathematical skills, being that there is a whole penny missing from the equation simply because I thought it would be acceptable to round up to whole numbers without appearing overtly deceptive. Again, my bad.

I can understand the previous jab you took at me for posting a reference without a source link.
However, I feel as if this jab is nothing more than you attempting to project your perceived intelligence onto your own assumption of my ignorance.

I've worked in the medical profession for 20+ years now, so trust me when I say that I know what it feels like to be jaded, I just never thought I would ever come to feel that way in a coin forum.

I say this not to offend you, merely to show you where the line in the sand has been drawn.

Without a doubt, you are obviously a very knowledgeable numismatist and a great resource to the community. We all know that, all I ask is that you not go out of your way in some vain attempt to prove it.

Regards,

JDRMCB

It was not a jab, and I did not go out of my way to single you out... it was merely tongue-in-cheek... because ebay and PayPal always line their pockets in these situations...

That was not a jab - that was completely justified. Myself, and several other numismatic authors, are tired of seeing our work blatantly copied without credit given to the original authors. We have been burned a number of times, including seeing our photographs in books (i.e., for profit publications) without permission or acknowledgement. I'll go after anyone here, if I see someone posting copied material here without giving credit to the source.

Next time, if you feel jaded, use the "Report this Post to the Staff" link or send any moderator a message, to perhaps clarify the intent of the message first, rather than get up on a soapbox with your underwear in a knot and write wrong assumptions on someone's "vanity"...
