This coin has significant wear on the crown but was given a grade of AU53.

I thought that ACG went out of business long ago. They are essentially the equivalent of a basement slabber, but the owner's propaganda can convince the unknowing that they are on the up and up. Stay away from ACG slabs .. they're poison! You always have to subtract at least 10 points from their grade .. in this case, it's over 20 you need to subtract.

And, BTW, welcome to the site!

ACG went out of business many years ago. Their grading cannot be relied upon. Make sure to buy the coin, not the holder, when dealing with companies such as ACG.

FYI - they are now known as Macable Trading on ebay. Touting their own price guide and "MAC" stickers.
