Even though it is probably not the highest grade, I like the 1939-S for lack of carbon spotting. The scratch on the reverse, for me, detracts less from the eye appeal than black spots.

After years of collecting, I am trying to finally make sure I only add coins I find have nice eye appeal and are not cleaned. I no longer want to regret my purchases.
I agree with the previous two posters that there are are carbon spots on all but one. However, they are all a very nice color. As long as you are not over paying, they look like they could be nice additions to your collection. They do not appear cleaned or altered to me. If I came across these in circulation they are keepers.
I understand you do not have the option to get these in circulation, so my opinion is to get them if they are not too much and enjoy them.

My opinion is that they are CENTS, not pennies.
Yes, people will understand you when you say pennies. But if you are going to collect use the correct terminology.

Saw a several times here and in english internet people were angry when someone called it cents instead of pennies, so I decided second option is correct. Sorry.

If these coins are the nicest you have, then it's time to get your priority's straight . Do you want to be a coin collector or just someone who likes shiny red Cents . Time for upgrading .

The '61 and the '39-S are most attractive, but the others all have issues (carbon or marks).

Thanks everyone! Carbon spots making coins ugly, I won't buy it, choose the best. And what about a grade of 61 and 39s?

Oddly, all look around MS-63.
