Hi, everyone. I found a 1971 Ike dollar that weighs 22.68 grams. The expected documented weight of 1971 Ike dollar should be 22.80 grams. Researching further, I found that the bicentennial Ike weighed 22.68 grams. Is this AU coin worth to be sent for grading? Thanks, everyone. Your comments are very much appreciated.

And if you don't feel like clicking, the weight of a coppernickel Ike dollar should be 22.68 g, 22.8 is just about the maximum legal weight within tolerance.

Hi, Conder101. Thanks for your response. How do you obtain the 'maximum legal weight within tolerance?' Of what you said? What is tolerance in relation to metals? Hmmm... the tolerance that I know of is social-based.
