Found both of these over the last week detecting around sidewalk tear-ups in Chicago. The beer one has 1936 on the token, The "Drug Products" is undated, and have found no references to the token. I did find some to "The Drug Products Co. Inc" though. Medical journals from the mid to late 1930's.

I also found an 80th anniversary Seagram's key chain? That would date it at 1937. Found references to that everything from a coin *not!*, to a token (possibly) to a key chain (plausible as it does have the hole in it).

Most likely a key chain - 1937'ish

Those are absolutely wonderful finds. I love the idea of detecting under torn up sidewalks.

Those are very cool. Somehow the 2nd strikes me as earlier than 30s, but maybe it's a throwback to older tokens?

Ooh, I missed another drug token. Lucky for you I also collect old pill bottles.

I'm guessing that Pulvoids Natrico is an early diuretic or water pill. Hightension or hypertension is the medical term for high blood pressure. Natriuresis is the medical term for excessive sodium in the urine which is the mechanism that early diuretics work by (a high sodium concentration in the urine causes the excretion of water through osmosis). Pulvoids is the dosage form, likely a fine drug powder in a capsule or coated tablet. The medal also comes with directions: 1-3 capsules 4 times daily (QID is an old pharmacy abbreviation).

The other side of the token advertises a second drug, Pit-ren. Judging by the therapeutic uses around the medal's edge, I'm going to guess that the active ingredient is ephedra. It comes as capsules or hyposols which I think is the same as an ampule (the precursor to the modern injection vial). The directions read 1-2 every 2-4 hours as needed.
