Being that I'm pretty new to medal collecting, can anyone recommend a catalog or price guide that would help me increase my knowledge about exonumia, particularly table medals?

Mr.Finger,

I'm sorry, but I don't know of any catalogue or guide that covers the worlds different medals or tokens.
The only guide I am familiar with is Renniks, which isn't much help to you as it is an Australian guide!
I hope you are able to find some sort of book or guide. Best of luck!

Snooba.

I can recommend a few books- Standard Catalog of United States Tokens 1700-1900 by Russell Rulau, So Called Dollars, 2nd Ed. by Hibler and Kappen, and 100 Greatest American Medals and Tokens by Jaeger and Bowers.

Yeah.Ive done a lot of googling and it seems there arent many catalogs or books that deal with medals in general......now if I could narrow down my collecting habits to a particular type or country,I might have better luck...Im just all over the board when it comes to buying,If It looks pretty,Ill buy it!

Thanks for the responses guys
