january1may Pillar of the Community Russian Federation 5174 Posts	Posted 03/12/2018 2:01 pm IIRC, after the ATB Quarters end (which might not happen by 2022), the new design would have to involve Washington crossing the Delaware. OTOH, that might well mean that there won't be a Washington head on the other side either, because having two Washingtons on the same coin is just silly. My favorite option - unlikely to be taken, of course - would probably be to have another run of ATB Quarters, then a brief commemorative Delaware crossing design for the tercentenary in 2032, followed by an entirely unrelated design featuring Liberty. It was gorgeous, and won the contest to be the quarter. Flannigans design came in second place. The secretary of treasury disqualified the winner because it was designed by a woman! Making that the new quarter for the next 80-100 years would be fixing a huge injustice. Report this Post to the Staff
