I think I have lamination going on near the "Y" and a hole in the middle..any clue?

Other side? It looks like something poked through from the other side, and is worn down. Not a lam I wouldn't think.

Looks like it might have had a shank soldered on and used as a button.

Right, would need a picture of the reverse to be able to tell what happened - but not a lamination problem
