Not the same coin is it? Waddaya do with the old one, bank dump? There were how many possible ones made on that die, see if the revers die is the same.

Quote: Not the same coin is it? I'll find the thread and compare Actually I sold the old one on the Bay and I know the buyer for a long time, a good customer of mine and live's in Georgia so knowing him ,he wouldn't have toss it back in circulation. Quote: see if the revers die is the same. I am sure I don't have the image from the first one's reverse, I don't think I ever took one, but now I will make sure to take a pic from reverse of this one,who knows I may find another!! I go through about 80-100 rolls of kennedy in a month so you'll never know! Quote: If it is exactly the same, could it be part of a die clash? John, It is a good possibility but I have to check the overlay to see what it can be if it is. after looking at the overlay I can't see anything that could have clashed in that area unless it was rotated. What do you think?

It doesn't look identical in shape, one you have now is full formed, other is incomplete along gouge bottom, see it? Same location tho and is states seem to match, LDS/VLDS die flows. No don't think clash, possibly a chip due to die condition, may explain a progression if that's what it is.
Oops! Inside the eye is different too, not sure its same die even.

Check to see if the mint marks are in the same place? If so it maybe from the same die. If not, then they are not from the same die.

Just figured out how to determine if the mint mark is in the same location for these without doing an overlay or a side by side. I drew a straight line in the same exact spots and they are the same location and same die.

That's awesome coop, how you came up with that and it worked And what are the chances of coming by Two coins from the same die in circulation Four and a half month apart! Thank you coop.
