Is it level with the field area? Or is it raised. (can't tell for sure from the images)

the area is raised.....maybe someday I will get a new scope.... but the wife says if I do, I wont live to be able to use it LOL maybe someday?

I was thinking it was a struck through debris (with grit in it) but that would not be above the surface of the coin. (actually incuse a bit) It is not something on the coin, like clear glue is it?
