Looks like it was over polished do to a Die Clash event or whatever the reason they polished the die.

@tparis, first welcome to CCF. Second, can you please be a little more specific about your area of concern? With this one picture, it looks a little like parts of the date and LIBERTY might be weak, but it is hard to tell whether that is just due to the lighting. Also, on Lincoln's cheek there appears to be a slightly discolored region. Again, that might be lighting (or perhaps differential toning if this coin was glued to something at one point).

This coin is still in the case from the mint, I'm the only owner and have never opened the sealed mint plastic case. The face is what I am looking at, it is zinc I guess showing through or a silver spot.

I'm wondering if the coin got sun faded from being in the light for a long time? Would a Proof coin fade like this if it was in the lights for too long?
