Both appear to be EF.

I am going with Indian Eagle's assessment too. The gouge on the cheek and neck looks bad. Plus I think based on the pictures, the obverse on the first one has a past cleaning.

The P is most certainly damaged. The '21-D is only a VF-35 at the most. When that outer rim starts losing its separation from the inner denticles, that's when I can tell that it's below XF. Both are only worth a few bucks above spot, and dealers will only give you spot, possibly even a little less.

The 21 is the Morgan with the highest mintage in the series. But it is still a Morgan dollar.
