Wow! Nice find Chase! That must be from the same die pair as Newbie234's. The eagle has that same "Turkey Neck" as Newbie's.

You're very welcome. Here's the link to Newbie's post. I think the Die Crack/Chip might be from the same die pair. http://goccf.com/t/313633

The die breaks definitely look the same, could be the makings of the next great die variety, like the "speared eagle" Sacagawea. We can call it the "Turkey Reverse" Kennedy. Somebody get Coin World to publish an article on it, the premiums will skyrocket!

That sounds like a great idea! It would make an awesome Variety. If there's enough of the same occuring error on struck coins, then it will become a Variety.

In my book it is not a die variety. A die variety to me is something that was on the die from the first strike. I would call them die events. They were not there when the die was new, but now they are.

I agree with you Coop. It's more of an die event than anything (normal wear and tear on the die). But I wasn't serious on it being a Variety. It was more of a funny joke we thought of.

Its pretty much in the same vein as the "speared eagle" sacs and those things go for over $100 a pop in circulated condition on ebay regularly.
