It's rare for me to find an Ike in a teller tray and I found this one six days after finding a 72 in the same bank and same teller tray.
Excellent!

Not often I hit up the bank near my usual grocery shopping, but something told me to stop by and pick up a box of nickels and see if they had any halves as well. The teller had $15 in halves on hand, and also checked around, and in the tray in the office behind the counter was another $23.50 in halves as well as $10 in Ikes.

First Ike I saw was a 1977-S. That's right, wild proof Ike. That ain't something you see every day. Also a 1969-D in the half dollars. Here's hoping the nickels have some good stuff.

Silver has not been an easy find for me in teller trays but today I walked out with a nice score and a reaffirmed faith that there's still silver in the wild for me to find on occasion.

Boy did these stick out from the crowd of coins. I knew right away there was silver in that tray.

Not bad for eighty five cents. Sorry for the blurry picture.
