Does anyone know what's up with a brown looking nickel I have one and it looks very odd the face isn't even the same as a regular nickel but what gets me is its color

Looks like it was wiped with a stain that altered the surface color. Check to see if the tops of the devices look normal colored where circulation wear has set in? Also check the edge to see if the normal color appears there.

The sides are the same color it's that color all over the face doesn't even look the same as a normal nickel it looks creepy

It was probably stained. Keep it in you pocket for a week and see if the color wears off the highest points of the coin and on the edges. Then you will know more about if it was stained.
