So I am new to coin collecting and started coin roll hunting to make it more exciting. Now I have been working on seperating between business strike or proof. I have 2 coins from 75 and I believe the left coin is a proof due to its shine and detail. Any advice?

Looks like a normal business strike to me, but perhaps a better close-up picture could help.

the coin on the left is just a business strike with a decent amount of mint muster remaining.

Proof coins 1968 forward are all marked with a San Fransisco mintmark.
*(noted that 1968-70S nickels and 1969-74S cents were also made in business strikes.)

That would be your first indicator. Other than that, study some pictures of proofs on the internet, they are noticeably different once you know what you are looking for.

Ah, I am not so versed on the non-mm proof error coins and their years. Good luck and keep searching! You will find one eventually. I've found three this year myself. 1991 and 1993S LMC's found in rolls. Along with that, I received a 1993S Jefferson nickel in change for gas.
