Quote: But....do you have all the proofs too? No. But I never intended to get them since I have mine in a Dansco 7165, which does not include the proofs.

One would think that through all of these "claims" of having completed a first album, that there would be at least ONE picture of celebratory "proof" to display !!.... But, as hard as I strained my eyes to see it to be true..... I could not find one single pic of one single album completed in this thread...... .... ....

I will post some later this week. It did not occur to me that you guys and gals would actually want to see my used blue Whitman album with my circulated Benjamin's. But I now see the error of my ways.
As far as "proofs" in this series. Were there actually proof only issues, like the modern day "S"'s? I am not big on proofs, but now there are some sprinkles falling on my parade route.

There proofs were minted in Philadelphia, therefore they were not "proof only" as the modern San Francisco ones are called.
If you added the proofs, you would have two of each Philadelphia Franklin (except 1948 and 1949); one proof, one business strike.
Like I said, my Dansco has no space for them, and I am sure you Whitman is the same, so feel proud to have a complete business strike set!

Congrats!
I'm short of 4 franklins to complete the set. Mine is MS62-MS64. My intercept album doesn't have slots for proofs so I sold the proofs I had to buy the UNC I needed. This will be my first completed album once I'm done.

cheungsta,
I offered them to Mint Marq first, I'll PM you both a list of what I have, and we'll see what's left.
cheungsta, you must not have enabled the email thingy, if you want a list, send me a PM.....the envelope and letter iconat the top of the window.

Nice pics (for being <100K)! Just curious...about how much did it cost you to put the set together? Franklins are pretty high up on my list of next sets to work on... =)
