Even with out of focus pictures the style of this coin (Athenian tetradrachm),
the design style suggests fake, unfortunately.

Yes, this one does claim to be from Athens, but I've never seen one with that kind of headgear. It's either some kind of tourist copy, or perhaps a contemporary imitation made by a barbarian tribe.

It would help if you were able to take clearer pictures. But even with these It's fairly easy to tell it's a fake.

Thank you, I will use better images in the future. These were taken by my friend and I told him the same. I think I am satisfied with these answers. I am new to this site, but the response time and quality of response is phenomenal. Is it best to take the post down or leave it up for the archives?

The face appears to be in early archaic style, but Athenian tetradrachms of this period had very plain head gear, certainly not of the much later new style coins.

For your own information try two Google Images searches:
Athenian tetradrachm archaic style,
and
Athenian tetradrachm new style.
