I have 2 quarters with possible rim errors. Each college is showing each quarter separate. I'm new to coin collecting and would love some more info on these coins. Are they mint errors or was this done after the fact... What we call PMD? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

These are not Mint errors. This is all Post Mint Damage from the Quarters spending time in a arcade machine/ casino slot. The reeding has been worn down a lot over the years because of this. Worth face value.

Metal tweezers to hold coin(s). Not much harm on damaged coins, but not something I'd recommend. Thanks, Doug.

Just worn down. PMD or PSD.

It's PMD (Post Mint Damage).
Rest in Peace

As E&V said, it's either an arcade machine or possibly a Dryer Coin.
