1871 is a better date that is about $300 in 62 and $200 all the way down to 55. Yours shouldn't slide that far down. I think yours is also Brown. I think the coin meets most folks value threshold for incurring the slab fee. But I don't think it is necessary unless you want to sell it.

It's been cleaned and Retoned. Rub on WE but nice otherwise. AU, details, cleaned.

agree it may have had a light wipe, but not harsh, definitely not whizzed or anything like that. my pictures arent the best.

Lightly circulated, old cleaning, would look great in anyone's 7070.

"Is the color close to what it really looks like ?" Not totally, it does have luster, hard to make out from these pics. I got it because I wanted a coin that was already 100 years old when I was born. Funny reasoning, but maybe this will prompt me to start a 7070!

Jstav, not funny reasoning to me. Some of my favorites coins are 1883 which is 100 years from my birthyear. I get the sentiment! Regardless of my opinion on cleaning this is a nice coin with very nice details.
