Hello all, came across this roll hunting, does not look like it was sanded or rub off. all around the edge, has no copper coating. thoughts on this could it just be PMD

It is a PMD. It probably spent a little time in the dryer to loose that copper plating.

my first thought too, bounced around in the baffle a while, not long enought to foldover the rims
