Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 03/21/2018 02:21 am Considering the combined total from the Philly mint was 10.7 BILLION coins, that production of the small date started in Sept, that would roughly be a MINIMUM of close to 4 BILLION of the coin around...it is very common and only holds any numismatic value when in mid to high grade MS (65-69). They had both, Copper plated Zinc Planchets and 95 percent Copper with Tin and Zinc. You must be thinking about the extremely rare 1982 D small date cent that was accidentally struck on a Copper Planchet. Only 1 is known to exist. Errers and Varietys. Report this Post to the Staff
