When I began putting together a Roosevelt album back in the mid-70s, I quickly realized I was never going to fill up the silver holes with pocket change. I found a guy in the classifieds of Numismatic News--I think he lived in NY--who was selling circulated silver Roosys at a good price. Over the span of a year or so, I filled up the folder completely solely from buying his coins.

For some reason, I have remembered his name--M. Mortitz--through the years. I know this is a long shot, but does anyone else recall this seller?

At least 15 years ago, and probably longer than that, I traded some $5 common date gold to him for a nice Proof Trade dollar. I have not heard from him since then.

WOW! I'm truly amazed that someone else here knows the man. He's a memento of my early teen years and my beginnings of collecting coins. I'm HAPPY!
