I have searched and not been able to find any info on the attached coin. At least I think it is. very old gold
It is small about 10 mm across.
Just a human figure on Obverse
But a design (star) on Reverse.
Any help would be appreciated.

I've never seen anything like that before, but it certainly isn't Roman, or Byzantine. The Seal of Solomon makes it look Moroccan, or perhaps Fatimid Egypt, but the only example of a gold hammered Moroccan coin I could find didn't use the Seal, and the use of a "human figure" on a coin in either culture would have been frowned upon.

The only other thing I can think of is mediaeval Sicily, which occasionally issued coins that were "kind of imitative" of ancient and Islamic issues; this may be their imitation of a Fatimid style coin on the reverse. But I can't say I've actually heard of a coin like that.

You're sure it's gold, and not brass? The only other possibility I can think of is some kind of modern fantasy piece.

Sap,
I'm pretty sure that it is not modern or fantasy piece. Also it does appear to be gold. Maybe gold and silver combined. It is definitely not brass. Not the same luster and too dense.

Good call, zolota - I never thought to look in Indian States. The star is definitely the same pattern used in 19th century Travancore. They don't appear to have used these designs on their gold coins, either, so at 10mm it's likely to be a well-worn 2 cash coin (KM# 17) that's been gilt.

Here are a couple of examples of the slightly smaller(about 8mm) 1 cash coins on zeno.ru.
