More seriously, I have sold a few 1 Mark coins from the 1950s, though none in such nice shape. I think the NGC values are WAY overstated, except for coins that are flawless or nearly so (I noticed that your coin had a small issue on the reverse?).

CoinArchives isn't very helpful. The only comps I found were a 1957F (comparable rarity to yours) that sold for about $20 US (NGC says value between $75 and 175): https://www.coinarchives.com/57c779...age00675.jpg

and this ungraded 1956D (which looks well into MS grades to me, which would mean close to $325 according to NGC) that went for 90 euro https://www.coinarchives.com/638e1b...age04265.jpg
