With all the fun we've been having lately regarding the Darkside collecting, I would point out I sure haven't turned my back on U.S. coin collecting.

For my birthday I received seven Walking Liberty half dollars, six of them grade F to VF, and one VG.

The dates are:

1943S
1943D
1944S
1944P
1945D
1946S
1946P

I'm about half way there as far as completing the collection. Regardless, it's a great coin, and fun to work with.

It's a beautiful design. I'm surprised there isn't more interest in it considering how much people like the ASE.

The value of a full set of Walking Liberty halves is almost unbelievable in any grade. I know a fellow who has put together quite a few sets and constantly upgrading. I have seen his first BU set when it was finished. Absolutely astonishing to see and what an accomplishmnet!
