When a coin is damaged, as with the many cuts on the Indians face, it is termed "detail", which means it's loses its numerical grade. It's a great find, but it's about a 25-30 cent coin. If that astounds you - perhaps you should start a collection

 Date ends in a 6, and with it that close together most likely a 1916.

I would grade it by my personal scale, VB-OhOhdam! (Very Bad...Oh, Oh...damaged!=trashpile for giveaway to store munchkins)
