1987 D Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC MMS-012, Wide Mint Mark

Jim0815 Pillar of the Community United States 5240 Posts	Posted 03/26/2018 3:10 pm While roll searching I came across this 1987 D LMC with a different looking mintmark. In 1987 there were two different mintmark varieties, one was the MMS-011 and the other was the MMS-012. Variety Vista has the MMS-012 for the 1987 D as a rare mintmark for the year 1987. I'm guessing that because the 012 was used for the 1988 D LMC there is a limited number of 1987's that used that mint mark. I'm assuming that is why Variety Vista calls it rare?
