The numerals on both sides are 7-7 over 79. A date, perhaps? Interpreting it as such on the Islamic Hijri calendar would suggest 7 Rajab 1379 (6 January 1960), but I see nothing significant as having occurred on that day, so I am probably wrong in my conjecture.
