That is a beautiful Lincoln. I think most of us have "not likely" coins that we all wish we could own. All that is required is that we need to save for that goal and it can happen.

A fine specimen! May be looking to get too much for it though. Looks like it last sold at $1560 in February and looking to pull almost $800 more a month later on the Buy Now proposition. PCGS lists it at $2100. CAC rating might bring another $50-100.

Typically weak , otherwise nice . Vertical obverse scratches looks like its on the coin . Ken , you can always make him an offer .

No, I've already got my 24-D. Not quite to that level, but still nice:

Any chance of an enlargement on that first pic?

Maybe I can learn something here. What's the deal on that vertical stripe (and the smaller one parallel to it)? I'm guessing that if it were a scratch it would not grade 65. Is it in the planchlet or is there another explanation? Thanks in advance.

What a beautiful coin OP. The dude is asking a pretty penny for it though.... get it.. haha(ok it's not really funny I know.)
Seriously though, I had no idea that that was considered MS65 condition with that aged slightly misscoloring on the die going on there.
This tells me that my 1962 P, 1964 P, and one of my 1970 S and 1971-1973 S pennies must all be in at least ms63 grade.
That's great news.

Ah, interesting. Price is high - this exact coin sold for $1,560 back in February of this year on Heritage (serial numbers match): https://coins.ha.com/itm/Lincoln-ce...bnail-071515I think what you are seeing in terms of the vertical striping is either toning or something on the holder or how the camera captured it. The Heritage photos show it differently - much less noticeable in those photos. You don't see many 24-D's in 65 Red Brown or Red. Maybe one or two a year on Heritage. This coin is out of my league unless I hit the Mega Millions last night. Then maybe I will do a Lincoln set in 65!
