Please forgive me if this is a question you get all the time as I am new to chat rooms and forums. I have been going through my mothers house (actually part Of my house where she lived with us until she passed away a few years ago). There were some areas that I just hadn't gone through yet but since we're getting ready to sell her house I have been exploring new cabinets etc. and came across some stamp and coin collections. These are all from the postal commemorative society and I'm wondering if any of them are worth anything? The stamp collections are all the gold plated ones and they're around Seven albums full. There are also some coin sets. One is an uncirculated set which only has three beers in it. There's another that's a President Lincoln from 1908 to 1948 I believe. Also there's one that's notable presidents which has stamps and coins on each sheet. I've tried to look some of these items up online but I'm not having much luck. Hoping someone can help me. Do I really need to go through each coin and list the specifics such as state etc.? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks so much!

Definitely read through the link Fuzzy317 provided.

Also be prepared to find - unfortunately - that most of the "collectibles" that were created in the 70s and 80s have not held much value.

I've seen PCS collectables that were legitimate coins/stamps, but in the "any item $2 bucket" at coin shows. And the replica "gold" stamps are worth less.

However, it often happens that in the dross are a few gems. Good luck!
