Can someone help me with a full description of this Charles 1st Rose Farthing please. It is in exceptional condition but I am struggling to find good reference site to get all the information on the coin. I know it has a "crescent" mark and all the digits are fully readable. Can someone please let me know where the "mint" digits are on the coin plus any good reference information links.
Regards Ed

Many thanks for the links. I have already looked at the first one and although there was quite a lot of information there none of the descriptions actually matched my coin. I am sure there is a mine of information out there somewhere. Spent about 2Hrs searching the internet still could not fully match the coin details.
Thanks once again much appreciated

According to this link the 'crescent' mint mark was used between 1625 - 1644 on Rose Farthings of Charles I. The mint is shown as 'non-provincial'. Does that mean it was exclusive to the Tower mint in London or......?
You may have to try more research on that aspect.

Many thanks. I have not seen this link before. It is very useful, not exactly sure what " Non-Provincial" actually means in this case. It seems that the Crescent symbol is the most common privy mark. I will look into this a bit more.
Thanks again.
