I just read somewhere, I think it was Coin World, that there has been some 1917 P Lincoln Cent DDO's being found. Has anybody come across any yet? I bought 10 rolls from my bank when they first came out and threw them in the safe. I am tempted to open my rolls and take a look, but I haven't let the temptation take over the will to keep the rolls as they are.

I'm betting 2017. It's unlikely the OP was around to buy 10 1917 rolls when they first came out.

Yeah, there are 2017 DDOs, but they're all minor. Also two doubled working hubs were found.

I wouldn't open your rolls, I have around 50 that I'm saving.
None of the DDOs are really worth opening them for.

The best is WDDO-017 and it's not that noticeable to someone who isn't into varieties.

Sorry I meant 2017, at least I got the posting title right.

After shoveling all that wet heavy snow we just received, I feel like I'm old enough to have been around back then.

Good morning all.
Thought I would share some info on the 2017p WDDO-017 Lincoln Cent since I have found 3 in change in the north and east coast area of Florida.
DoubledDies.com WDDO-017 crosses over to VarietyVista DDO-001

The images at VV include a reverse marker: a die chip on the edge of the shield over E (PLURIBUS) as well as the strong doubling on RUST (TRUST).

Here are the links:

WDDO-017
John Wexler said he will update the images of the reverse marker as well as the thickness on RUST when he next updates his site.

DDO-001
VarietyVista has not updated the 2017P varieties yet and currently only has the images accessible through the 2016P page. Near the top of the 2016p page is a link to 2017p DDO varieties. Click on that quick link to get to the 2017p DDO-001.

Hope this helps people find this DDO for 2017 since the thickness and distortion on TRUST is fairly substantial.
Thanks for looking.

I didn't know DDO-001/WDDO-017 was that strong. Thank you Pete for getting someone to post pics of RUST somewhere. It appears the doubling would be more noticeable and stronger on TRUST than the date, I'm surprised Wexler didn't post pics of that to begin with.

Probably an oversight with the volume of coins he attributes.

I may be partially to blame as I didn't make note of RUST and the reverse marker on the label when I sent it in because of how prominent they are.

Tanman2001, you're welcome and it is stronger on TRUST.
A combination of events have kept this one off peoples radar. You won't miss the thickness when you find one, but by updating this info it may save people the cost of sending it in, thinking they have a new variety.
