It seems like a lot of these types from Cilicia are unattributable if their design elements don't correspond to a known type bearing an ethnic.

Cilicia, unknown. C. 400-350 BC?
Female bust facing, veiled and wearing necklace
Bare-headed Herakles right, lion skin tied around neck

Cilicia,-Uncertain-AR-Obol---Female-/-Herakles

I can't recall seeing another coin where Herakles has the skin of the Nemean Lion, but isn't wearing it as a helmet? Interesting little coin, nonetheless.

I like it. But don't know anything about foreign coins. My Question is; when I see Cilicia, I think Armenian. Though this coin is clearly Greek, and dates from before the Armenian migration. So...is Cilicia just a geographical designation in this context?

"Cilicia" (Κιλικìα) as a geographic designation and political entity existed from at least the 2nd millennium BC, referring to the southern coast of Anatolia (modern Turkey). The Cilicians were ruled at one time or another by Hittites, Persians, Greeks, Romans and Byzantines before the Armenians came along. In the 20th century, the distinction between "kingdom" (polity), "nation" (people) and "country" (place) blurred together into the notion of "nation states". In the past, the three were much more distinct. "Cilician Armenia" is really shorthand for "The kingdom of the Armenians in Cilicia".

Any ideas as to who the female bust might represent?

Nice pick up!

In most auctions and online catalogues I have seen, the authors don't attempt to identify the female. Some suspect it may be Arethusa:
