What do think will be the biggest coins news event, good or bad or down right ugly in the years ahead? C'mon now don't just predict the present and call it the future. Step out on the limb. No one is going to remember this stuff anyway. Hey the publications do this every year. Why should they all the fun?

My prediction is that one of the big shots will notice that the stock market doesn't do much more anymore than 4 downs and punt. They will see an opportunity in selling bored investors from was-street slabs. But they also have to make it as easy as it was with stocks. So just sell them an electronic transaction saying they now own 100 slabbed ABC coins in MS65. There will be some kind of central storage area for where the physical slabs are stored just as there are areas where corn and wheat, that no one ever takes possession of, are stored. The problem of doggies going into the sight unseen market won't exist since no one will actually be seeing them. And if they make a go of 100 point grading everything will be a doggie anyway.

But still, there will be those pesty purists who will say "buy the slab and not the electrons."

My big prediction.

The TEN 1933 Saints will become legal to own, and will crush the poor guy who paid 7.65 Million. Most will sell in the neighborhood of 2 Million, with the prime "true" MS-65 selling for nearer 4 Million, once again crushing the current MS-65 example, which should fall to MS-61 and be valued at near $1.5 to 2 Million.

At least TWO more Aluminum Cents will come to market in 2006, forcing the legality issue.

The 100 point grading scale will be shoved back under the rug where it belongs. Too many collectors will see this for what it is. How to force 10 million + coins into new holders at $5 each.

Have all the fun you want but Steping on Lim may be considered "good or bad or down right ugly in the years ahead"

I predict that thanks to the likes of members like Lim we will see a marked increase in Darkside collectors.

I predict that some time within the next 12 months, crystalk will exchange all his holdings in Buffalo nickels and exchange them for Aussie coinage in an attempt to be made a citizen of Australia. Next years hunt will be in the "outback" and involve those large jumping creatures. He will of course be dressed as an a native while using a flat stick of wood.
Lim will have to go along as a guide.
