I was at a rest stop on the Garden State Parkway in NJ today and was waiting to ask for quarters at a Starbucks. While the clerk behind the counter ignored me, I peeked inside the tip jar and saw a worn Lincoln. With her attentions still not on me, I surreptitiously picked the coin out of the jar and replaced it with a 1964 nickel. It wasn't till I got outside that I saw my treasure in full living color with an equally wonderful date.
