Hi,
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this here, but we're needing some help to identify a coin we've found.
We haven't the faintest idea what it is but the words on the one side is Fattorini Bradford.
Thanks for reading!

Hello and welcome.

We will move this thread to the appropriate place for you shortly, but in the meanwhile, here is the answer.

What you have is a "false shekel". It is, in effect, a religious medal. The design is loosely - very, very loosely - based on an ancient Jewish coin, from the time of the First Revolt (66-70 AD).

This article on the American Israel Numismatic Society website does a better job than me at explaining exactly what they are, why they were made and the original ancient coins they are copied from.
