So, I know that cleaning is almost always a no-no for coin valuation, unless its junk silver/gold/regulars that one might want to clean for purely eye candy purposes, knowing the value probably wont ever change.

I asking about more exotic cleaning methods like ultrasound, solar, and a few specialty chemical dips that may make it harder to detect.

Generally, are there signs to look for,or is this best left to professional graders/dealers.

I am not sure what you mean by "solar."

Ive read about some concentrated solar that "bakes" the dirt/grime away. Similar to a magnifying glass, but diffracted. I supposed this could and would probably also damage the metal in question, depending on the strength and duration.

Just a dumb question in general I suppose.

Mint luster is almost always detrimentally affected, depending on the amount of cleaning.
The collector market turns otherwise high condition coins into much lower valued items, when they have been cleaned.

A different situation with ancient coins, which have to be cleaned, after recovery from burial.
