Hey gang, long story short I may have caught the bug, and after spending all day sorting through a huge mountain of coins and having a blast whole doing so, I'm here. I plan on starting with nothing and working my way up, finding whatever I can in whatever rolls I get from my bank on a regular basis. I got a decent grasp of some basics, although alot of this terminology can be a bit overwhelming lol. Anyways, starting out with dimes. Found a 1969 Roosevelt with no mint marking in pretty decent shape, dunno if its worth anything but I like it and cant wait to find better/more rare ones and start getting them graded/certified/ whatever its called. (Forgive me for my ignorance, day 1 newbie here)   |

 Welcome to the club. I'm sorry to say that 1969 dimes are common and don't carry a premium, but there are plenty of keepers out there. It sounds like you're interested in roll hunting- I can hardly begin to list everything that might be worth keeping from circulation, but older coins (many of us keep any cent or nickel before 1960 or so), silver (dimes and quarters before 1965, halves before 1971, and nickels 1942-1945), BU coins (especially older), proofs, and errors are a good place to start. You'll develop an eye for it before long.  Good luck. Edited by Numisma

Thanks! I'm honestly shocked at how much enjoyment I get from spring through change looking at coins in a whole new light. I look forward to learning more as I go
