It looks like an British India 1/2 rupee coin, but I am not knowledgeable enough to decipher the other details.

Someone else will come along to give you a more definite identification.

Fortunately was able to find this one by looking through South Asian Coins & Paper Money, Indian Edition, George Cuhaj, Ed.

It is indeed a British India silver half rupee, Bengal Presidency, Farrukhabad Coinage, Calcutta mint, ND/45, KM 76.

Very nice coin.

Not sure of the date, but it's in the name of Shah Alam II which puts it most likely during his reign of 1759-1806. If it was indeed the 45th year of his reign (not guaranteed, as dates were sometimes frozen) this would be about 1804.

Just for future reference, the lines on this type of coin are horizontal, sloping upwards at the ends, so for best readability the photos in this case should be rotated 90 degrees clockwise.
