Would like to see a picture of the edge.
How thick is it?

The legends (the lettering around the rim) are similar to this Edward IV (gold) quarter ryal, but much of the design of your coin is different

The coin in the link is 21 mm in diameter (size of a U.S. nickel), but only 1.9 grams (less than the weight of a U.S. dime), so the real coin is very thin.

Perhaps yours is not a real coin, but something made to look approximately like the one in the link?

We need to know the diameter and the weight of this item, and the thickness too, if possible. It looks corroded, which is why I suspect that it is not gold.

It looks like a modern reproduction to me. In the future, though, PLEASE don't hold coins with pliers or similar implements. That's a surefire way to scratch up the surface. Holding it with your fingers by the edge is fine. Assuming this is fake, I suppose it's better to learn that lesson here than with a real piece.

It seems to be way too thick for a genuine hammered coin of this diameter. The detail is too indistinct for a genuine hammered gold coin.

My strong suspicion is, that it is a gold plated tourist copy.
