1993 D Lincoln Memorial Cent Doubled Die ?

Jarr99 Valued Member United States 57 Posts	Posted 04/16/2018 6:47 pm I believe I might have found a 1993 d double die I think I can see doubling on both sides but most noticeable in E pluribus unum, the date liberty and other places as well. For the B and E of LIBERTY, you are right that they appear more shiny in your photo. It is a little hard to tell since the focus isn't great, but my best guess would be that this region took a slight hit or and is now reflecting the light perfectly back at the lens when you take the photo. If you changed the angle, I'm thinking that this brightness would either go away or shift in position. On the other hand, it could be that this area (being a high point) has been abraded enough to remove the darker patina, but not so much as to expose the zinc core and so you are just seeing "fresh" copper.
