Good morning everyone! I am starting to get a feel for grading but I would like opinions on this coin to see how I am doing. I THINK it is VF. The photos show a copper color. That is a lighting problem. The coin is actually a nickel color as it should be. TIA!

VG-10/F-12 . The I in Liberty is always the first letter in Liberty to be worn away on Liberty Head Nickels .
Rest in Peace

It won't make Fine by much and certainly not VF. Compare NGC and PCGS grading photos, even for lower grades and you can learn a lot by looking at lots of graded examples.

You are asking the right questions which will greatly increase your feel for grading on any type.

I'll stick with F-10 by a hair, but I ask, does that obverse really look like a Fine to you?
