Hi there,
This coin is from Sweden, which is one of the (other) Scandinavian countries.
The condition is pretty good for the type, but grading from the US scale is meaningless as we grade from another and much more conservative grading scale here in Scandinavia, and even in Sweden the old-fashioned grading in here is even more conservative than in Denmark and Norway.

In Sweden it will probably be XF, if lucky. In US MS of course.

After I have looked at the coin again, I will say XF here in Denmark, and most likely VF/XF in Sweden - but MS-something in The States.

@prncoins, if that is an XF on the Swedish scale, what does an MS coin look like?

Just curious about how grading works in other countries.

I will say it is only an XF on the Danish and Norwegian scale. On the Swedish scale (if you take the old fashioned one) - I will say it will be only an VF/XF.

We do not use the MS scale here. In Sweden a VF by the old scale is often an MS60-63 in the US. I have seen this goes by on Swedish auctions, so I have the experience with this.

It is difficult to campare; also because we now are working with not only two, but three different scales on grading.

I have seen MS65 items that we do not call perfect UNC here in Denmark. I will say in Sweden a coin needs to be about MS68 for being a UNC; there must no be any marks AT ALL! - for an UNC (grade 0) - in Sweden. The same goes for Finland.

But often (what I call unserious) dealers here overgrade their coins. The same goes for collectors - often because of lack on experience. I might get critic for these words, but dealers have their wallet to decide what they say.

Here it will have a value of about $15, and most of us are not a fan of graded coins, FYI. Palle :)
