While not in the greatest condition, this lump of bronze snuck into my collection anyway. Seller's only wisdom is that it is bronze and about 30mm. Using their pictures.

My best guess is Caracalla and Serdica -- can someone confirm?

edit: There appear to be centering holes on each side.

Obv legend, my attempt gets:

... ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟς

Reverse appears to be:

... ΣΕΡΔΙΚΗς

Thoughts appreciated.

Yeah, that "angry face" gets me every time. Of course, if I had been forced to marry a woman I hate, and then told to give half of the Empire I inherited to my brother, I might have had a bit of rage saved up...

I was going to bid on this one but used my funds for the same seller's Diadumenian.

You got a nice chunky coin for a good price!

Serdica for sure.

Yup, I saw that one too. Most of what was listed was not interesting but I think I saw a Vetranio in there...

Just a tad bit over cleaned though
A little touch of toning can only help it
I think an acetone bath to clean away any oils and some exposure will help
You might even try wrapping it in some newsprint and leaving it in warm place for a few months
Brown it up a bit.
Either that or an olive oil bath
