Submitting Proof Coins To PCGS? - Coin Community Forum

kevcoins Valued Member United States 116 Posts	Posted 04/25/2018 9:27 pm Hello CCF, I plan on submitting a few 1960's proof coins to PCGS. They are accepting take home submissions at the Central States Numismatic Society Annual Convention in Schaumburg. Question is; can individually cut the coins I want to submit out of the plastic instead of completely removing them and inserting into a mylar flip? I attached an example. Atlas642 Pillar of the Community United States 562 Posts	Posted 04/26/2018 10:14 am From the PCGS website: "We ask that you send your coins in 2 ½ x 2 ½ Mylar flips." This is how I send it all my submissions and I believe this helps expedite the process. The PCGS representatives at the show will assist you with submitting your coins. Report this Post to the Staff
shotgung Pillar of the Community United States 1101 Posts	Posted 04/26/2018 10:35 am I sent in a dozen or so Mint 1980's nickels into PCGS. I cut them from the plastic and put them into a 1"x2" ziplocks I buy at Michaels (cheaper than mylar flips). Never ran into a problem. One coin per ziplock. Report this Post to the Staff
