Another worrying thing with these Coins is what is stopping a Seller inducing artificial wear once the word spreads on these fakes, you can bet the wear would cover the current ID marks. The key dates would still be a pricey Coin and nearly impossible to pick.
In Australia the guy that was knocking off the $2 Coins from the Canberra Mint was putting them in a tin which he then put in a larger plastic container and put them thru. a cycle in his Mothers washing machine.

Hi Neal, just to clarify that anyone can make a guarantee claim with PCGS, except the person whose name is on the submission form on which the coins were submitted.

Basil, the problem is that, while trying to educate each other, we, the collectors, have inadvertently educated the counterfeiters as well. The bad guys don't have to artificially wear down the coins. All they need to do is make new dies that don't have the faults, which we helped identify.

Yeah,i just wonder where it will all end with so many open online marketplaces to sell fakes.
The Coin that started all this was the WW1 Shilling(?) with the wrong Obverse,Edward V111 instead of George V,i can't find any Info/Threads on it but Oz. Auction Houses were quick to react.
There was a picture of the Coin on the Oz Coin(i think?) Site but I can't find that either.
