1970-D Lincoln Cent with die chip/break (?) on top of the "9"? I have trouble with terminology sometimes. But are die chips/breaks (not sure which this is) worth any premium when they affect devices like on my example?

Yes, I agree that it is a great example of a die chip, but not so amazing as to increase the value.

A die chip is under 4mm squared and a die break is over 4mm squared.
